Newquay is the U.K.'s surfing capital. You can dip your
toes in the surf of Fistral or if you fancy something different
there is an abundance of surf shops, a picturesque working
harbour and estuary or coastal walks. Newquay also boasts
the best nightlife in Cornwall with many bars,clubs and restaurants
to cater for all tastes.
If you fancy exploring the rest of the county, Newquay is
an ideal base from which to visit the Eden Project, the shops
of Truro, the Tate at St. Ives and of course Rick Stein's
restaurant in Padstow. You don't need a car to get around
the county. Newquay has its own train station and links to
all of the major tourist areas by bus.
